Corgi Labels — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
Corgi Labels (“the app”) adds product labels and badges to a Shopify merchant’s online store. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and how it is handled. We designed the app to collect as little data as possible.
What we access
- Store information — the store’s
.myshopify.comdomain, used to identify the merchant’s installation. - Product & collection data (read-only) — product tags and collection names, used only to power display rules (e.g. “show this badge on products in a collection”). We do not modify your products.
- Badge configuration — the labels, designs, colors, rules and schedules you create. This is stored as an app-owned metafield on your store.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymous counts of how many times each badge is viewed or clicked on your storefront. These are totals per badge; they are not tied to any individual shopper.
What we do NOT collect
The app does not collect, store, or process any customer personal data — no names, emails, addresses, order details, or browsing identities. Storefront analytics record only aggregate view/click totals per badge.
Where data is stored
The app runs on Vercel (hosting) and uses Upstash (a managed key-value store) for analytics counters and authenticated sessions. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Data retention & deletion
- Your badge configuration is kept while the app is installed and is removed by Shopify when you uninstall the app.
- Daily analytics buckets automatically expire after 120 days.
- We honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks
(
customers/data_request,customers/redact,shop/redact). On shop redaction we erase all analytics and session data we hold for your store.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your data. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers named above for the sole purpose of operating the app.
